SQAIR was founded in 2011 around a simple belief: safety, compliance and good management should make an aviation business stronger, not heavier. Today, SQAIR is based in Malta.

SQAIR started with Safety and Quality in the aviation industry. Those are still the foundations: safer operations, stronger systems and better decisions.
The work has expanded into Aviation, Assurance, Talent and Business, but the name still says where we come from.

SQAIR was founded by Capt. Tom Verbruggen, an aviation professional whose career spans aircraft maintenance, flight operations, nominated management roles, compliance, auditing, training, software entrepreneurship and commercial development.
That range matters because aviation problems do not respect organisational charts.

Early management experience in airline Part-145 line and light maintenance, working with B737 and A320 fleets.
Operational flying experience across Falcon and Learjet aircraft, including VIP and critical missions.
Experience in nominated and management functions across fixed-wing and rotor-wing operations.
Consulting focused on safety, quality, compliance, operations and aviation projects.
Founded Aviatize, building SaaS products for professional aviation and unmanned aircraft operations.
